divorce

If you're reading this, you're probably going through one of the toughest times in your life. We get it. The word "divorce" itself can feel overwhelming, and the thought of talking to lawyers might be the last thing you want to do right now. But it’s always a good idea to know your rights.

We're not the kind of lawyers you might be imagining. We're real people who happen to understand family law, and we're here to walk beside you through this journey. We’ll help you navigate separation and divorce with dignity, kindness and strength. Some days will be harder than others, and that's okay. We'll be here for all of them.

We’ll help you move forward with empathy and without judgment.

Let's Start With a Cup of Coffee

We want to hear your story and get to know you a little more. It also gives you a chance to meet us. You can book in a free 15-minute consult online or in person. If you think it’s a good fit, we can outline how we can help you.

What You might be Wondering

Do I really need a lawyer?

You need someone who understands the system and can protect your interests. That's us. But more importantly, you need someone who listens. That's also us.

How long will this take?

In Australia, you need to be separated for 12 months before filing for divorce. The actual divorce process usually takes another couple of months. We'll help you understand each step so nothing catches you by surprise.

Will I have to go to court?

Probably not. Most of our clients never set foot in a courtroom. If you don't have children under 18, you likely won't need to attend court for the divorce itself. High conflict matters do tend to go to court, but we’ll let you know if we think your matter is one of these.

What about the kids?

If you have kids, they're probably your biggest worry right now. We'll help you create arrangements that keep them feeling safe and loved. Kids are resilient, but they need stability - we'll help you provide that.
